Bio

Tony Henggeler, 90 Buried Last Friday - Joseph Anton (Tony) Henggeler, 90 of 564 4th street, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Columbus. He had been in failing health for more than a year. Funeral services were held last Friday at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus. He was born March 13, 1877 in Platte county, the son of George and Magdelene Wagner Henggeler and attended District 2 school. Mr. Henggeler was married to Rose Berney May 1, 1900 at St. Bonaventure Church and they farmed in Platte county. He was a member of the Catholic Church Surviving are three sons, Lawrence and Leonard of Columbus and Louis of Omaha, one daughter, Mrs. John (Lillian) Carleton of Clovis, California, 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, two brothers, William Henggeler of Columbus and Peter of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, Lena Henggeler, one grandson, three brothers and a sister. Wolbach Messenger, May 11, 1967, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney
