Ronnie Joseph Vrla, 66, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Medical City in Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m, Thursday, May 11, 2017, with Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Ennis. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 12, 2017, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Ronnie was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Joseph Edward Vrla and Theresa Agnes (Zabojnik) Vrla. He grew up in Irving, Texas, and lived in Ennis for 25 years. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and the KJT. Ronnie was a "very special" sweet, gentle, loving, always happy people person whom everyone knew and loved. He loved all sports, Czech music, dancing, trains, and playing bingo. He will be so greatly missed by all. Survivors include his sister, Theresa Slovak and her husband, James; nephew, Dr. Derek Slovak and his wife, Kelley, and their children, Connor and Carter; niece, Lindsay Varley and her husband, Brendan, and their children Emily and Ally; and other relatives and many friends.
