Irene Little Gibson Payette Irene Little Gibson, 89, of Payette, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1992, in a Payette nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. The Rev. Earl Traughber of the Fruitland Church of the Brethren will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Irene was born April 16, 1903, at Manchester, Iowa, a daughter of Soloman L. and Annamarie W. Hill. She was reared and educated in Manchester. She married Robert L. Little in November of 1925 at Bowbells, N.D. They farmed together in North Dakota until coming to the Payette area in July of 1935. Mr. Little passed away on April 8, 1938. She married George C. Gibson in 1953. Irene was known for her extensive gardening, knitting, and bread-baking. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joan Grimmick of Boise and Mrs. Edith Kernan of Seattle; a son, M. Jack Little of Fruitland; a sister, Blanche Zimmerman of Ulen, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers; a sister; her husband, George Gibson; and a son, Charles V. "Chuck" Little of Boise. Memorials may be made to Mountain States Tumor Institute, 151 E.
