Jimmie L. Thompson January 22, 1953 - May 09, 2017 Funeral services for Mrs. Jimmie L. Thompson will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church in Ten Mile Community, with Reverends Dave Digman and Braden Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Occupy #1 Cemetery, Pitkin under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Thompson, 64, of Pitkin, La. entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Jean Nash; one son, Rodney Nash; three brothers, Eugene Nash, Donald Nash and Jeff Nash and grandchildren, Katelynn Young and Jonathan Young. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of thirty six years, Herman Thompson, of Pitkin; one daughter, JoAnn Young, of Pitkin; one brother, Richard Kerns, of Buna, TX. and three sisters, Jackie Carr, of LaPort, TX., Linda Behrens and Norma Anthony, of Buna TX. Friends may call Friendship Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
