She was known as Agnes Osvald prior to joining the Notre Dame Sisters in Omaha Nebraska. Rites Monday For Nun Funeral services will be at 8 a.m. Monday at the Notre Dame Convent Chapel for Sister Mary Clara Osvald de ND, a long-time teacher in Omaha's Catholic schools. Sister Osvald, 65, who died at a local hospital, was a native of Yukon, Oklahoma, who entered the convent in 1924. During her 46 years as a teacher, she served at St. Adalbert's, Assumption, St. Therese's and the old Notre Dame grade schools in Omaha and at schools in Spillville, Iowa, Chelsea, Iowa, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was teaching in Cedar Rapids when she became ill in May. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. John Osvald of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Sister Mary Jane de ND of Omaha, Mrs. Milo Sebetka of Marion, Iowa, and Mrs. Georgia Paulson of Cedar Rapids and a brother, Joseph of Independence, Iowa. The rosary will be recited at 7 at Dworak Mortuary and at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Notre Dame Convent Chapel. Burial will be in Cedar Rapids. Born in Yukon Oklahoma, February 17, 1906, she resided in Cedar Rapids area for several years before she joined the Notre Dame order August 13, 1924. She taught at St. Ludmila's school in Cedar Rapids, and in Chelsea, Iowa and Omaha and Prague, Nebraska. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Rose Osvald of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Sister Mary Jane de ND of Omaha, Mrs. Milo Sebetka of Marion, Iowa, and Mrs. Georgia Paulson of Cedar Rapids and a brother, Joseph of Independence, Iowa Memorial services: Monday at 8:00 a.m., Notre Dame chapel, Omaha and Tuesday at 9:30 at Janeba-Kuba funeral home west and 10 a.m. at St. Ludmila's church by the Rev.
