Robert W. Richter, 95, of Beatrice died at Beatrice Good Samaritan on Thursday, May 4, 2017. He was born November 21, 1921 at Plattsmouth and graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1940. He married Rose Brink on June 3, 1944 at New Albany, IN and they lived there a short time, moved back to Plattsmouth and in 1960 moved to Beatrice. He enjoyed painting (acrylics), drawing and writing. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Gordon and husband Jim of Lincoln and Ginny Reimer and husband Gordon of Beatrice; one son, Robert Richter and wife Linda of New Braunfels, TX; five grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildrenchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Vena M. McConaha Richter; his wife Rose, who died December 1, 2002; two brothers, Ernest and Bernard Richter and one sister, Ruth Peterson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice with Sharon Schuster officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery of Beatrice. A memorial has been established to the Beatrice Good Samaritan Society. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 12:00 noon Monday until time of service on Wednesday.
