The Bellingham Herald (WA) 8 Nov 1995, Wed A memorial service for Lars S. Kudsk of Everson will be at 11 am Friday at Gillies Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sharon Hare officiating. Mr. Kudsk of 7165 Everson-Goshen Road died Sunday, Nov 5, 1995 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was 91. Born Jan 17, 1904 to Jens and Elisebeth Kudsk in Gjern, Denmark, he was the eighth of nine children. Mr. Kudsk moved to Blair, Neb in March 1926 and to Fullerton, Neb in 1929. He married Bernice Lemaster on July 27, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, Neb. Mr. Kudsk was part owner of Cedar Valley Lumber Co. in Fullerton until 1954, when he moved to a dairy farm on Hampton Road near Lynden. He moved to Everson-Goshen Road in 1962 and grew raspberries. He enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, being outdoors and playing pinochle. He was known for his wit and belief in honesty and hard work. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife of the family home; sons James Kudsk of Bellingham and Gerald Kudsk and Neil Kudsk, both of Custer; daughters Marlene Martin of Custer and Evelyn Campbell of Everson; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews in Denmark.
