Fairfield Daily Ledger Tuesday Oct. 19, 1982 Floyd Palmer Floyd A. Palmer, 44, 901 W. Gear, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been a resident of the Fairfield Community for the past 20 years and worked as a sanitation contractor for 18 years under the name of Palmer Sanitation. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert P. Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home. Floyd A. Palmer was born Dec. 13, 1937, at Murray, the son of Paul and Fern Johnson Palmer. He was married Sept. 7, 1956, to Dorothy L. Scotton in Des Moines. Survivors include the following: his widow, four daughters, Debra E. Palmer, Cheryl A. Palmer, both of Fairfield; Debra L. Talbolt, Ramona, Okla.; Judy L. Palmer, Bloomfield; Thomas Palmer, Fairfield; and Richard L. Palmer, Bloomfield. Also seven sisters and a brother: Donna Hilemer, Sharon Goodyk, Wanda Grooters, Phyllis Warburton, all of Pella; Linda Proctor, Osceola; Betty Hoyt, Sioux City; Pauline Palmer, Des Moines; Paul Palmer, Jr., Osceola; and his father, Paul Palmer, Sr., Osceola.
