Franklin Mayfield Olson, Jr., born on May 21, 1944 and died on June 13, 2009, at his home in San Leon, Texas, with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin Mayfield and Henrietta Olson and his sister Eva Ruth Baisden. A celebration of Frank's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday June 27, 2009 at University Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safety in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming…WOW…WHAT A RIDE!!
