Mildred Adamcik, 91, passed away in Ennis, Texas, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017, with a Rosary recited at 5 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2017, in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father Henry Drozd as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mildred was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late James and Annie (Hubacek) Kostak. She grew up in Alma and attended Alma and Ennis schools graduating from Ennis High School in 1944. On September 16, 1950, Mildred married Adolph Adamcik and they made their home originally in Dallas, then to Lancaster, and finally, she moved to Ennis in 2011. Mildred worked for ten years for Southwestern Bell as an operator and was a bookkeeper for A&A Car Parts of Dallas for over thirty-five years. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church of Lancaster, KJZT #108, Sokol, WFLA and the Altar society. Mildred enjoyed cooking and her family was the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Adamcik; and a brother, Jim Kostak. Survivors include her sons: Robert Adamcik and wife, Sandy, Ronny Adamcik and wife, Barbara, and Kenny Adamcik and Patrick Adamcik and wife, Carol; 14 grandchildren: ten great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Kostak; sisters, Ann Zabojnik and Marie Vrla; along with numerous other family and friends.
