Gene "Geno" Marvin Brown September 25, 1921 - April 19, 2017 Resident of Redwood City Gene "Geno" Marvin Brown passed away peacefully at Brookdale Senior Living in Redwood City, CA. Born on September 25, 1921 in Nebraska to Ernest and Josephine Brown, he was 95 years old. Gene served in the U.S. Army 95th Infantry Division in World War II from 1942 to 1945. Gene moved to Redwood City in 1958, where he retired from San Mateo County in 1983. He also worked for the Redwood City Parks Department until 2002. Loving husband for 72 years to Betty Brown who preceded him in death in 2015. Beloved father of his daughters, Doreta (John) Scott, Imogene (Bob) Lowe & Jeanette Brown. Cherished Grandfather of Rebecca Lowe & Nicholas Brown. Gene is also survived by his sister, Marylouise Sharp of Hastings, NE. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Gladys Brown, Elsie Porter, Ernestine Springer and his brothers Floyd Brown, Louis Brown and Robert Brown. Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Service on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 11am with Viewing starting at 10am at Redwood Chapel, 847 Woodside Road, Redwood City, CA 94061. Graveside Service will be held immediately following at Skylawn Memorial Park, Highway 92 @ Skyline Boulevard, San Mateo, CA.
