Bio
Ethel Anna Coufal, 56, of Frederick, CO passed away suddenly on April 22, 2017 at St. Anthony North Health Campus, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born December 27, 1960 in Brighton, CO to Virgil and Dorothy (Scott) Coufal. Anna spent her early years on the farm near East Lake, CO, and moved with her family to a farm near Platteville in 1973. She graduated from Valley High School in Gilcrest, CO in 1979. Anna was an accounting clerk. She worked for Montgomery Ward from 1979 to 1995. For the past 11 years she has been employed by TSN – A Bunzl Company. In 1994 Anna’s father was injured in a farming accident when a stack of hay fell on him. From that time on, Virgil needed help. Anna’s life changed as she became his full time caregiver, assisting her Mother with his care until his death in 2003. A few years later, as her mother’s health began to fail she once again became a full time caregiver for her mother. She was a devoted caregiver for both her parents for many years. Anna enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, traveling, and doing crafts. She loved country music. She was an avid fan of both the Broncos and Rockies. Anna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially caring for and spoiling all of them with gifts and treats for birthdays, Christmas, Easter, and all other holidays. She enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews participate in sporting events, county fairs, or any other activity you could name. Anna will be remembered for her love and devotion to family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia Goode, niece Teresa Goode, nephew Kirk Goode, and a great niece Amanda Coufal. Anna is survived by three brothers; Bill Coufal (Margie), Rich Coufal (Shelly) and Mike Coufal (Nancy), nine nieces and nephews; Rick(Kristen), Rebecca, Michelle(Mark), Regina(Tom), Todd, Carrie(Brandon), Jason (Katie), Brett(Alissa)and Thomas(Megan); many great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 9:30am to 10:30am on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 on May 1. A reception will immediately follow the funeral. Interment will be at Foothills Gardens of Memory following the reception.
