KEARNEY — Don Nyle Buhlke, 69, of Kearney, died Friday, April 21, 2017, at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church in Kearney with Father Art Faesser officiating. Burial of ashes will take place at a later time in the Burwell Cemetery. Don was born Sept. 30, 1947, to John and Marjorie (Gumb) Buhlke in Burwell. He grew up in Grand Island and attended Grand Island Senior High, graduating in 1966. He then graduated from Central Community College in Hastings in 1969. Don owned and operated Midwest Dental Ceramics in Kearney for 35 years. Don married Judy Ann Wieler on April 15, 1967, in Grand Island. The couple lived in Kearney since 1973. Don was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Kearney. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, playing the guitar, dancing, and making bird houses and jewelry for his family. Most of all, Don loved reminiscing by telling great stories, working hard at life, and spending time with his family. Don is survived by his wife, Judy. of Kearney; a son and daughter-in-law Brian and Amy Buhlke of Central City and their three daughters, Ella, Addie, and Amelia; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Kevin Methe of Omaha and their seven children, McKenna, Madison (Zachary), Reghan, Joseph, Elisabeth, John Paul, Eva; and two great-grandsons, James and Anthony Nyle. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Johnnie Buhlke.
