DIED At his home near Lee Park on Saturday morning Sept. 22, Daniel E. Mowery, aged 34 years. D. E. Mowery came to this country with his parents from Indiana 13 years ago. They bought land here near Lee Park where they have made their home up to the present time. He was married Aug. 18, 1888, to Rilla M. Nelson and from the union there has been 4 children who are still living. Mr. Mowery had been failing in health rapidly for the past three months. He was obliged to take to his bed on Sept. 15. All that human could do was done for the sufferer. The best medical aid and administrations of loving hands however was of no avail and on Saturday morning he passed into the great beyond. He was buried in the cemetery at this place on last Sunday, funeral services being conducted at the house by Rev. Eastman of Clear Creek. Human sympathy is not wanting and only when the sad time comes do we realize how little we can do. The kindest word, the most sympathetic action cannot heal the wound and though we would do our best to say a word which might make the pain easier, we must realize that to the widow, nothing can take the place of 'husband'. To the children there can be nothing which obliterates the loss. Taken in his prime when all the world seems made for him there is nothing which can lighten the blow. Here is a moments pause, beyond is an eternity. Looking forward with a precious hope, that beyond the grave there is an unknown something which triumphs in the knowledge of another son to bide there forever and ever.
