Bio
Janice M. Woods, 72, of Corsicana, passed away on April 20, 2017, at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2017, at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Janice was born in Galveston, Texas, to the late Edgar Vernon May and Lucille Vaught May. She attended and graduated from Corsicana High School where she played in the band. She met Gerald D. Woods at the skating rink and they enjoyed many years together. She loved being outdoors helping take care of the yard and feeding her animals that included her squirrel friends. She was strong in her faith and had a great love for her Lord. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darla Woods; brother, AV "Sonny" May; and her beloved dog, Puddles. Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Gerald D. Woods; son, Allen Woods; sister, Doris Jean Robinson, of Corsicana; other extended family and many friends. L5
