Savilla Welborn was born in 1822 in South Carolina. She is the daughter of Moses Welborn and Sarah Halbert Welborn. Welborn married Edward T Smith in 1842. They had three children during their marriage. Their children are Elizabeth Jane Smith McDavid, Edward Rial "Bud" Smith, Mary Lucinda Smith Walthall. She died on October 29, 1856, and was buried in Forsyth, Georgia. She is buried in the Old Concord Church, Forsyth County, Georgia.
