He had been in ill health for several years. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Johnson Street Church of Christ. Mr. Tillitt S. Tedlie and Mr. Allen Harper, ministers of the Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be made in Forest Park. Nephews will be pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Johnson Street Church of Christ. The Gray-Sorrells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The body will be removed to the family home Tuesday, where it will remain until the hour for the service. When Mr. Fowler was a small boy he came to Texas with his family from Logan County, Ark., and located in Wood County. Later he moved to Hunt County, where he had since made his home. At the time of his death he resided at 3041 Templeton Avenue. The son of I.N. Foster and Missouri Francis Turner Foster. He was born Dec. 18, 1884. On Nov. 15, 1809 (sic), he married Georgia Lee Forehand. Mr. Foster was a member of Johnson Street Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. A.T. Furtardo, Dallas, and Mrs. L.B. Graves, Greenville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Homer Foster, Alba, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Lyles and Mrs. Walter Prather, both of Alba, Tex.; several nieces and nephews including Vernon Foster, who made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Foster for many years. ---------- Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Wed, 16 Jan 1957, page 11m, Thomas Foster Rites Wednesday Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Street Church of Christ for Thomas Cleveland Foster, 72, who died at 5:15 p.m. Monday in a Greenville hospital. Tillitt S. Tedlie and Allen Harper, Ministers of the Church of Christ, conducted the services. Burial was made in Forest Park cemetery. The Gray-Sorrells Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
