"Brian L. Kratky, 58 years, of Lincoln, NE passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at his home in Lincoln. Brian was born April 14, 1959 to Bernard and Maxine (Kavan) Kratky in Fremont, NE. Brian grew up on a farm northwest of Prague, NE and attended rural school district 73. He graduated from Prague High School in 1977. He graduated from Platte College in Columbus, NE, while working at Appleton Electronics. He then worked in quality control at Eaton Corporation in Lincoln for a short period of time. Brian worked for General Dynamics until passing. Brian's hobbies included: gardening, growing trees, the challenge of starting up shrubs from seeds, and hunting. He also loved traveling on his Harley Davidson Fatboy to national parks in the western part of the U.S. He loved riding anytime and anywhere he had the opportunity. He was also a member of the Elks Club of Lincoln, NE. He is survived by his significant other, Joan Saar of Council Bluffs, IA; son, Chad Kratky of Dakota City, NE; parents, Bernard (Maxine) Kratky; brothers, Rodney Kratky (significant other, Barb Dye of Fremont) and Kenneth Kratky both of Prague, NE; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral Service will be 11 A.M., Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend, NE. Pastor Michael Hill will officiate. Visitation with family receiving friends will be Wednesday from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Prague National Cemetery in Prague, NE. Memorials may be designated to the family." Moser Memorial Chapel, North Bend, Nebraska.
