OBITUARY- Monitor-Herald, Calhoun County, MS Mrs. Nona Morgan Morris, 81, died Thursday, July 23, 1970, at her home in Bruce, following a long illness. She was the widow of John H. Morris. She was born in Calhoun County, MS, April 15, 1889, the daughter of Dempse and Alice Spradling Morgan. Mrs. Morris, who had lived her entire life in Bruce, was a Baptist. She leaves a daughter, Miss Joyce Morris of Bruce; two brothers, Clifton Morgan of Centralia, IL and J. B. Morgan of Rt. 2, Calhoun City; a sister, Mrs. Leonard Inman of Bruce; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday morning at Concord Baptist Church. Rev. Forrest Poindexter officiated, assisted by Rev. Daniel McGregor. Burial was in Concord Cemetery under the direction of Pryor Funeral Home of Calhoun City. Pallbearers were Harold Inman, Ray Sullivan, Clint Newman, Leroy McKibben, James Banks and James Snyder.
