hiner - Anita Pauline Stratman Korbel, 93, of Shiner, died Monday, March 10, 2003. She was born Nov. 4, 1909, in Shiner, to the late Charles Bernard and Minnie Schlottmann Stratman. She was an office manager and a Methodist. She was a grand master bridge player, a member of the Book Club and Music Club and participated in civic organizations in Del Rio. Preceded in death by: husband, Frank Korbel; daughter, Dr. Susan Korbel; parents; sister, Ella Bohuslav; and brothers, Bernard E. Stratman and E.W. Stratman. Services will be 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, the Revs. Charles Eckert, Lyndall Fletcher and John Britsch officiating. Burial will be Shiner Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Shiner, 361- 594-3352. Pallbearers: Charles Stratman, Dr. Bernard Stratman, Ken Pfeil, the Rev. Clarence Hagens, George Minear, Pat Stratman and Edward Barta.
