"Georgia A. Ostry, age 85 of North bend, NE formerly Prague, NE, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Birchwood Manor in North Bend. She was born Feb. 22, 1932 near Prague, to Louis & Lydia (Humlicek) Ostry. She was the fifth child born to a family of eight. She was born handicapped and never attended school. She enjoyed playing the player piano, where she could pump the foot pedal She liked to watch and imitate the farm animals and enjoyed being around people, including her nieces and nephews. She also liked to have her hair styled. She and her mother both moved to Birchwood Manor in North Bend in 1986. She withstood many surgeries to better her health. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague. She is survived by her sisters; Marie Havlovic of Prague, NE, Edith Sousek of Morse Bluff, NE and Loretta (Leonard) Snitily of Prague, NE; brothers, Herman (Donna) Ostry of Bruno, NE and Jerome (Mary Ann) Ostry of Prague, NE; brother-in-law, Frank Sousek of Prague, NE; and many nieces and nephews. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Angela Sousek; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Emil Snitily; brothers-in-laws, Joe Havlovic and Edward Sousek; and nephews, Marvin Sousek and Clarence Snitily. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 5-8 PM with a Rosary said at 7 PM, all at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague, NE. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Prague, NE. Moser Memorial Chapel at North Bend in charge of arrangements." Moser Memorial Chapel, North Bend, Nebraska.
