Bio

~Kelly McDonald Hyatt~ Kelly M. Hyatt, 73, of the Qualla community of Jackson County, died Sunday, April 27, 1975, in a Bryson City hospital after a brief illness. A native of Jackson County, he was a retired employee of the N.C. State Highway Commission. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Willa Parris Hyatt; a daughter, Mrs. Lela Jean Bumgarner; four brothers, Dixon Hyatt, Charlie Hyatt, R.C. Hyatt and Joe Hyatt; two sisters, Mrs. Norma Lee Hayes and Mrs. Elizabeth Ensley; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 1982, at Hyatt Chapel Baptist Church. Burial was in Swain Memorial Park.
