Early Life: Kolen "Shorty" was born March 18, 1939, in Durango, Colorado, to James Sterling and Erma K. Eaton Zufelt. Life's Work/Service/Interests: Shorty was greatly loved by all who met him. He knew one of his missions in life was to make people smile and he surely accomplished this. He was loved and nurtured by everyone that knew him and cared for him at Central Utah Veterans Home. Kolen "Shorty" Zufelt went home April 1, 2017, to be with his beloved wife, LaVera "Blondie"Jacobsen Zufelt. He was surrounded by several of his eight children and one of his many grandchildren. Survived By: His eight children: Shirlene (Frank), Kathlene, Kristine (Mike), Carolyn (Victor), Robert, Toni (Randy), Auddie (Cheyenne), and Kandy (Bob); and his sister, Klea. Preceded In Death By: His wife, LaVera; his first wife, Ruby Coombs Zufelt; his parents; and his brothers, Jim, Oren, Val and Dennis.
