Koci, 71, of San Diego, Calif., will be held this morning at 10 o'clock in St Bonaventure Catholic Church. Rev. Jerome Dickes will officiate and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. McKown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Koci was born June 7, 1908, near Rogers, the son of John F. and Ludmilla Steffel Koci. He was educated in Schuyler schools and was a farmer. On May 1, 1933, he married Melba Agnes Mares in Schuyler. She survives. In 1949 the family moved to Columbus where Koci operated a business. Koci was chairman of the fund raising effort for St. Bonaventure School and was an usher in the church for 10 years. Koci was aslo active in the Knights of Columbus and served as grand knight for four years. He was a member of St. Bon's Holy Name and Perpetual Adoration societies. Koci and his wife moved to California in 1965. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tim (Mari) Myers of San Diego and Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Klauer of Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, Michael Koci of Tustin; three sisters, Mary Koci of Schuyler, Mrs. Floyd (Agnes) Treblik of Lodgepole and Mrs. Harold (Helen) DeBower of Detroit; one brother, Joseph Koci of Schuyler; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one sister and one brother.
