Mr. Elton Edward Cardwell July 31, 1934 - March 31, 2017 Mr. Elton Edward Cardwell, age 82 of Castleberry, AL passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at his home. Mr. Cardwell was born in Century, FL and had been a resident of Castleberry for 23 years coming from Brewton, AL. He worked as a machine operator at T.R. Miller Mill. Mr. Cardwell was of the Pentecostal faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Dora Cardwell; brother, Buddy Cardwell; sisters, Helen Spence and Mary Dixon. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Eugenia Bobbie Durden Cardwell of Castleberry, AL; sons, Randy (Devon) Cardwell of Castleberry, AL and Tim (Felicia) Cardwell of Castleberry, AL; daughters, Janet (Hal) Whitman of Brewton, AL and Lorrie (Dan) Evans of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Johnny (Barbara) Cardwell of Brewton, AL and Wiley 'W.C .' (Laura) Cardwell of Dixonville, AL; grandchildren, Amanda Kelley, Daniel Cardwell, Cassie Whitman, Emily Cardwell, Ethan Cardwell, Zack Herrington ; great grand-children; Kailyn Bell, Aiden Whitman, Cash Kelley, Kipton Kelly, Kiefer Cardwell. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Craver's Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Craver's Funeral Home Chapel at 11 AM with Bro. Gam Graves and Bro. J. Heath Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery, Brewton, AL. Pallbearers will be Daniel Cardwell, Ethan Cardwell, Zack Herrington, Jamie Martin, Hal Whitman, Jeff Cardwell.
