Bio

Dominic Alphonse Pospisil, 83, of Austin, Texas passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his beloved family after a year long battle with Cancer. Dominic was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Travis County. Dominic was a self-taught accordion player who was gifted with a strong faith that help sustain him through life. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jolene Pospisil; daughter, Jennifer Pospisil Morrison and husband, David; sons, Dennis Pospisil and Thomas Pospisil; granddaughter, Cassidy Pospisil; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends. Heartfelt thanks extended from the family to Dr. Jennifer Wright and Hospice Austin. The family will receive friends at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with a Recitation of the Rosary. A Mass of Celebration will be at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 126 W. Oltorf Street celebrated by Father Dennis Strach II, CSC. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.
