FULLERTON—Margaret Ann Furby, 72, of Fullerton, passed away peacefully Monday, March 27, 2017, at home with family by her side in Fullerton. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church in Fullerton with Pastor Doug McHargue officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Margaret was born April 24, 1944 to Charles and Mary (Didier) Kohl in Central City. She graduated from Clarks High School in 1962. She met Terry Furby at a basketball game at Clarks in High School. They were united in marriage on August 25, 1962 and to this union three children were born, Sue Lynn, Diane Michelle, and Russell Glen. She was a homemaker and also took great pride in caring for her “2nd children,” Jordana (Marr) Smith, and Tim and Thad Hellbusch. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's school activities and was a Bison (Central City) fan at heart. Margaret also enjoyed entertaining friends, cooking for anyone that would let her, and looked forward to her afternoons of dominoes. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 45 years. Margaret was also a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fullerton. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Roger Schoch of Marquette; son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Kathy Furby of Wyndmere, ND; grandchildren, Abby (Tanner Kuhn), Amy, and Brad Schoch, Madison Furby, Olivia and Owen Furby; great-granddaughter, Gracie Majerus; and sisters-in-law, Kathe Kohl of Fullerton and Micki Sensenig of Fullerton. Margaret is preceded in death by the love of her life, Terry; her parents; infant child, Sue Lynn; brothers, Robert, Jerry, and John Kohl; father and mother-in-law, Tad and Arnette Furby; nephew, Marc Sensenig; and honorary son, Thad Hellbusch.
