Bio
A resident of the Fairfield area since 1917 died at a Great Falls hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the United Church of Christ at Fairfield with Rev. Carl Krusi officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Fairfield. Moved to the Fairfield-Vaughn area as a young boy and attended school there. Worked for Milwaukee Railroad. Married Amity Purvis at Great Falls in [March 18] 1932. In 1934, he began working as a heavy-equipment operator, doing construction work; in 1943, started working for Greenfield Irrigation District as an operator and machinist. Retired in 1973. Member of Masonic Lodge 121, AM & FM. Survived by his wife of Fairfield; a son and daughter, Tom and Nancy Trackwell both of Great Falls; one grandchild, three step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Opal Ashby of Wolf Creek and Ruby Trackwell of Great Falls.—Information from obituary in The Choteau Acantha, Oct. 5, 1978, Pg. 8
