Services for Roy Randall "Randy" Clark, age 71 of Chandler, are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Reverend Dr. Ron Klingsick officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery in Lindale. Roy Randall "Randy" Clark, of Chandler, was born on November 26, 1945 in Tyler, Texas to Roy R. Clark and Chloe Brown Clark. He went to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the age of 71. Randy accepted Christ at an early age and was a Baptist. Randy attended Tyler Schools, Birdwell Hogg, and Robert E. Lee. Randy was an accomplished athlete playing baseball, football and track throwing the shot put. In 1963, Randy a 228 lb. tackle was the only football player in District 8-AAAA to be selected to the first teams on both offense and defense. Randy lettered in football in Hogg Jr. High and all 3 years at Lee. Upon graduation, randy signed a football scholarship to the Texas Tech University. Randy worked many years in the automobile sales business in Tyler and Florida. In 2004, he joyfully returned to Tyler to be near family and to work and live in the area he loved. One of his greatest joys was being reunited with family, friends, and ex-classmates. He was a generous, kind, caring person. He was a good husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, and relative. He loved to ride and work on motorcycles. Randy had many friends and touched the lives of so many. He is preceded in death by his parents and much loved brother-in-law, Robert Parish in Arp. He is survived by wife, Jenine Clark; sons, Brett Clark and Stephen Clark both of Tallahassee, Florida; step-daughter, Blair Bass and husband, Chris of Gilmer; step-son, Erik Winker and wife, Stephanie of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Jacob Clark, Ruby Bass, and Gabrielle Winker. Also surviving is his loving sister, Brenda Parish of Arp; sister, Sherry Bobbitt of Tyler; and brother, Wayne Clark of Illinois. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Thompson, Sam Trant, Chuck Albright, Bob Bergfield, Joe Burden, Frank Parker and Don Bishop. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Published in Tyler Morning Telegraph on Mar. 23, 2017
