Bio

Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Shows, 73, died Tuesday at Forrest General Hospital. She was a resident of Rt. 5. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev Harold Walker and Rev. C. W. Hall officiating. Burial will be in Morriston Cemetery with Quigley's Funeral Home directing. Survivors include her husband C. H. Shows; three sons, Glaston, Haskel and Paskel all of Rt. 5; five sisters, Miss Vicy Van Slyke, Miss Sadie Van Slyke, Mrs. Oscar Smith of Hattiesburg and Mrs. Aaron Fagan of Frutport, Tex., and Mrs. Claude Smith of Brookhaven; three brothers, J. V. Van Slyke, Harvey Van Slyke and Vardy Van Slyke, all of Hattiesburg; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
