Carol Ann Herod Dobson September 28, 1946 - March 17, 2017 Carol Ann Herod Dobson was born September 28, 1946, she came into the world and lived a great life for 70 years, then on March 17, 2017 she made the final journey while being surrounded by many loving family members wishing her a happy healing. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Nettie Herod; brother, Pat Herod; her life-long companion Ronnie Dobson; daughter, Ronda Dobson and two grandbabies, Patrick Dobson and LeAnn Reid. She is survived by her first-born, Renee Reid and husband Shannon; her baby girl, Rechelle Tackett and their furry baby, Sassie Girl; four grandbabies, Carolynn Dobson, April Anderson, Clinton Reid and Arron Tackett and four great grandbabies, Damien Dobson Malm, Delilah Tackett, Zaylen Lopez and Nevaeh Gonzalez; She also leaves behind her special ''adopted'' daughter, Dawn Savant and a very special niece, Tammy Crouch. She also leaves behind eight siblings, Virginia Galloway, Roy and Norma Herod, Janet Moore, Robert and Ruth Herod, David and Suzy Herod, Elaine Herod, Dianna and Walter Herod and Deter Herod. Memorial services will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017 with a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Emken Linton Funeral Home
