Children: Robert Henry Ashby Minnie Ophelia Ashby Sledge Funeral services for John Birdin Ashby, 43, who died at Norfork February 27, were held at the Galatia Cemetery with the Rev. Claud Crigler officiating. Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Offie Sledge of Banks, Texas; one son, Robert of Old Joe; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Ashby was born in Jackson, Miss. He moved to Norfork last year from New Mexico.
