Memorial services with military honors for Charles Daniel (Charlie Dan) McNeill, 82, of Whitehouse, will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Chris McNeill and Rev. Lester Foreman officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mr. McNeill passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Tyler. He was born June 20, 1933 in Three Rivers to Daniel and Roma McNeill. He met the love of his life, Ann Lewis, in Carrizo Springs and they later married in 1954. Dan served in the Army during the Korean War. He is a retiree of Kelly Springfield Tyler. Dan loved his family, hunting and music. He always said there were two types of music - country and western. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nathaniel McNeill; and sister, Evelyn Heubotter. He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 61 years, Ann Lewis McNeill of Whitehouse; brother, Thurman McNeill of Three Rivers; sister, Pearldean Kaatz of Three Rivers; children, Chris McNeill and wife Jamie of Ft. Worth, Zed McNeill and wife Bridget of Mesquite, Jeff McNeill and wife Paula of Whitehouse, Stacie Nipp and husband Tim of Whitehouse, and Danna Wolff and husband Tommy of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Jordan, Kim and husband Roy, Clint and his wife Shanna, Jared, Jed, Shelbie and husband Colton, and Lana; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews . Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Jed McNeill, Jared Nipp, Clint Dollison, Roy Brombaugh, Coulton Cunningham, Jeremy Dudley, Brad Bendix and John Farrez.
