Bio

Billy passed away peacefully at his home in Lindale, Texas. He was born July 25, 1955 in Crockett, Texas to Hubert Harold Welch and Vernia Marie Welch. Billy was blessed with a beautiful daughter Chelsea Bamburg and three grandchildren Tanner, Jacob and Xander. Billy went to high school at Robert E. Lee in Tyler, Texas. He began his working career in the East Texas Oil Field at 18 years old and worked in the Oil Field for many years. He was presently employed at Welch Excavation and Utility Company of Winona, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother Vernia Marie Welch in 2012 and his father Hubert Harold Welch in 1994. Billy is survived by his daughter Chelsea Bamburg; three grandchildren Tanner, Jacob and Xander; three brothers Hugh Welch, Russell Welch and wife Janis, Kenneth Welch, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins. Billy will have graveside services held at Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas. Edited - full obit may be obtained from Groveton Funeral Home - March 10, 2017.
