Bio

John Victor "J.V." Steadham, 98, a native of McCullough and resident of Robertsdale, died Saturday, Dec. 27 2008. Survivors include daughters, Doris Jarrell, Irene Middleton, Eleanor Harrison, Maxine Hinote, Phyllis Ellison and Cindy Haynes, all of Robertsdale, Christine Shavers of Columbus, Ga., Marlene Boone of Loxley and Debra Utter of Silverhill; son, Victor Steadham of Robertsdale; brothers, Ralph Steadham of Middleton, Conn., Roy Steadham of Robertsdale, Kenneth Steadham and Oliver Steadham, both of Tampa, Fla.; 31 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, and 31 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Gibson officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Baptist Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of Baldwin County. Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
