He married Mabel Gunderson and they lived in Nicaragua, Central America where he was a manager of a banana plantation. They moved to Columbus in 1923. Buller, 97, 1908 16th Street, died Tuesday at Columbus Manor after a three-week illness. Longtime resident of this community, he was a retired leather dealer and harness maker. Funeral rites will be conducted by the Rev. Basil Tsung, 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with burial in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Knights of Columbus will pray the rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday at the McKown Funeral Home, followed by a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Buller was born Oct. 30, 1876 at Fairbury, Ill., the son of Wendellin and Dorothy (Wolpers) Buller. He married Mabel E. Gunderson, Sept. 9, 1908 at Fremont, and had lived in Columbus more than half a century. A member of St. Bonaventure Church and Holy Name Society, he was an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus Council 938, which he joined in 1908 and served as grand knight 1942-45. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. LaRoy V. (Marjorie) Campbell of Lincoln; one grandson, Lorn Mark Campbell of Lincoln; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Meta Buller of Billings, Mont.; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his half-brother, Joe Buller of Billings; stepbrothers and sisters.
