Sept. 7, 1931, Grant County, Wisconsin Obituary - Anna Macke Hampton Anna Macke Hampton was born May I5, 1882, in Arcadia, Iowa, and passed away January 16, 1958, at a Prairie du Chlen hospital after a long illness. She was united In marriage to James A. Hampton of Bloomington on Sept. 7, 1931. They spent their entire married life in Bloomington. Other survivors besides her husband include two sisters, Mary, Mrs. J.F. Schroeder, Dyersville, IA, and Agnes, Mrs. Frank Krogman, White River, S.D.; 1 one brother, Frank Macke, Salem. S.D.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one brother, August. Funeral services were held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Mary's Catholic Church at Bloomington with the Rev. Cyril Kierdors officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary's cemetery with Metcalfe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hampton was a member St. Ann's Christian Mothers Sodality, the Legion of Mary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. I am sincerely grateful to the neighbors and friends who sent flowers, spiritual bouquets, and food; and to the American Legion Auxiliary and Metcalfe Funeral Home.
