Eva Neikirk, age 90, passed away on Wednesday 1 Mar 2017 at Sunrise of Gahanna in Ohio. Born in Hazen, ND to the late Matthaeus and Katherina Schwarz. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bjarne Haugen; her brothers Emil Schwarz, Martin Schwarz, Wilhelm Schwarz, Bernhard Schwarz and Richard Schwarz. Her sisters Helen and Mary. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Richard Neikirk; her children, Tim and Cheryl Haugen, Mary and Tim Dunsmore; step-children, Steve and Cindy Neikirk, Bruce and Lisa Neikirk; grandchildren, Samantha, Caleb, Cassie, Erin, Jared, Evan, Conlin, Josiah, Lucas, and Trevor; great-grandchildren, Brynley, Gracie, Ansley and Carleigh; sister, Pauline; sisters-in-law, Selma Haugen Black and Florence Haugen Wold; and many treasured nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, 4 Mar 2017 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus, OH. A committal service will in the spring with inurnment at Fron Lutheran Cemetery of rural Maddock, ND.
