William Banning Staggs W.B. Staggs Rites Held On Last Sunday William Banning Staggs, 79-year-old retired farmer died at 10:30 Friday night at his home near the Wayne County line after a long illness. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the County Line Church of Christ with Andrew Brown, Minister of the Pulaski Street Church of Christ officiating. Burial was in the Spann Cemetery with North Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Staggs was a native of this county and a son of the late Sam and Mary Brewer Staggs. His wife, Sally Poag Staggs, died in 1948. He is survived by six children; two sons, Ottis and Vincent Staggs, and four daughters, Mrs. Clara McDonald, Mrs. Vesta Ray, Mrs. Beatrice Daniel and Miss Lula Staggs, all of this county; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elige Staggs of this county and Jim Staggs of Alabama; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Wilson of Michigan and Miss Hannah Staggs of Summertown.
