GARLAND - Orvil Ray Ermis, 60, a carpenter, died Wednesday, May 14, 1997, in Carrollton. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Orvil Ray Ermis was born July 24, 1936, in Fort Worth. He was a lifetime resident of the Fort Worth-Dallas-Metroplex. He was a carpenter most of his life, building in residential construction and remodeling. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his grandchildren. They called him "Paw Paw". Survivors: Daughters, Carrie Murray of Lewisville and Judy Coulson in Garland; sisters, Lula Mae "Willie" Grantham of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Randy Ray Summers and Justin Jared Craft.
