W. G. Goodwin is buried April 17 Willie Gordon Goodwin, 54, of Robertsdale died Friday, April 15 at his residence. He had lived in Robertsdale community for 35 years. Funeral services were held at the Bethel Baptist Church, Robertsdale April 17 with Rev. Marion Byrd officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gilbert Cooper, Lon Cooper, Harry Cooper, Grady Cooper, Pervy Thames and Walter Pierce. Masonic services were held at the graveside. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Amos Garrett, Edward Dink, Price Grubbs, Sherman Hinote, Eddie Novak, Milton Cline and Robert Gwaltney. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margaret Goodwin; one son Willie Gordon Goodwin, Jr. of Robertsdale, two sisters, Mrs. Ellie Crane, Bay Minette and Mrs. Annie Mae Murphy, Modesto, Cal.
