Charles "Ray" Guy (Pa Pa), 63, of Aztec, passed from this life Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at his home. Ray was born Oct. 21, 1943, in McCamey, Texas, to Charles Pinkney and Ida Bernice (Sowell) Guy. He was a master optician and will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Thomas Wade Guy. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 1/2 years, Brenda; children, Steve Guy of Tulsa, Okla., Kelly Guy Covey of Tulsa, Frankie Salazar and wife, Cindy, of Bloomfield, Michael Salazar and wife, Krista, of Albuquerque, Melissa Costenbader and husband, Joel, of Pennsylvania; 11 beautiful grandchildren, Nick Covey, Alysa Covey and Christy Guy of Tulsa, Anthony Salazar, Amber Salazar, Evangeline Salazar, Delaynie Salazar and Tori Salazar, all of Bloomfield, Mikayla Salazar of Albuquerque, Alysha Costenbader and Austin Costenbader of Pennsylvania; nephews, Ken Guy and Keith Guy, and niece, Renee Hoke, all of Las Vegas, Nev. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 25, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington. Service for Ray will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, also at Cope Memorial Chapel, with Jack Wheat officiating. He will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105. Ray is in the care of Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington, (505) 327-5142.
