Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fielder-Baker Chapel with Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. She was born Oct. 30, 1907, in Collin County to Arthur and Susie Ramay Chapman. She married John A. "Jake" Hickman Feb. 18, 1928, in Farmersville. Surviving are daughters, Patsy Rike of Farmersville and Sue Caldwell of Denton; brother, Glen Chapman of Longview; sisters, Mrs. Cecil Laville of Longview and Goldie Bates of Irving; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
