Bio

Our beloved Wife, Mother, Granny and Friend left to be with her Lord January 22, 2007. She was born in Eden, TX, on May 27, 1935, to W.J. and Marie Locklear. She married Robert Stout, January 30, 1975. She had 4 children and lived in Odessa since 1963. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wynita. Along with being a wonderful wife and homemaker, she was mother and best friend to all her children. She shared her life with many friends. Her home was a tribute to her love for collecting antiques, Christmas plates and Santas. Billie loved working in her backyard and making quilts. Her pets, Sister, Pepper and Missy were a great joy to her. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Billie is survived by her husband, Robert Stout. She is also survived by her sister, Jan Gallon of Fort Worth and 4 children: James Horton and wife, Susan of Cross Plains, Lawetta McElmurry and husband, Randy of Odessa, Sharon Baker and husband, Morris of Lubbock and Lynn Horton and wife, Kathy of Odessa. Nine Grandchildren, Brice of San Antonio, TX., Brian of Virginia, Susan of Lubbock, TX., Garrett of Odessa, TX., Evan of Orlando, FL., Cody of Odessa, TX., Amber of Odessa, TX., Billy of Odessa, TX., Sarah of Lubbock, TX. and one great-grandchild, Christian of Minnesota. The family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2007, at Asbury United Methodist Church. Services are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Odessa. Billie was first married to James Roy Horton Sr.
