Denton Record-Chronicle - (Jan/31/2005) Roy Lane Cunningham, 90, of Denton, a retired cabinetmaker, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Senior Care Center. He was born Oct. 16, 1914, in Gribble Springs to Robert Roy and Myrtle Lee (Gregory) Cunningham. On Dec. 9, 1939, he married Nellie Fay Shockey in Denton. She died March 1, 2003. He was a member of the Welch Street Church of Christ. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home. Terry Collins will officiate. Burial will follow at Old Shiloh Cemetery in Flower Mound. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, at the funeral home. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Beck of Corinth; one son, David Cunningham of Heath; one sister, Ruth C. Branam of Denton; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
