Bio
Rose Komenda, 89 of Valparaiso, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013. She was born on September 24, 1923 to Bohumil and Mary (Pratt) Sima in Bruno. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. Preceded in death by her husband, Anton Komenda, and one granddaughter, Leann Komenda. Survived by sons and daughters in-law, James and Marj Komenda of Seward, John Komenda of Valparaiso, Anthony and JoAnne Komenda of Valparaiso; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12-5 pm Sunday, June 30, at Wadlow Rozanek Funeral Chapel, Valparaiso. Rosary will be held at 7 pm on Sunday, June 30, at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, Valparaiso. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, July 1, at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, Valparaiso, with Father Charles Townsend as celebrant. Interment will follow mass of Christian burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Valparaiso. Memorials to the family for future designation. Condolences may be given online wadlowrozanek.com.
