Norman N. "Norm" Haan, age 72, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Center in DeSmet, SD. Funeral mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Watertown, SD with Father Michael Wensing as celebrant. Music provided by Blaine Martian as song leader accompanied by Donna Williams. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Interment will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Kranzburg, SD. Pallbearers will be Randy West, Rod Kemink, Gary Mack, Bob Haan, Austin Haan and Jordan Williams. Norman Nicholas Haan was born June 24, 1944 to Richard H. and Helen (Heyn) Haan in Watertown, South Dakota. Following his graduation from Watertown High School Norm attended college at Northern State University in Aberdeen and then attended Sioux Falls Business College. Norm farmed at the family homestead near Kranzburg and worked at Tempo and Sears in Watertown. He also sold Real Estate for many years. He enjoyed going to the races at Casino Speedway. Norm is survived by his children, Kim Williams (fiance' Tom Gehm) of DeSmet, SD, Bob Haan of Watertown, SD and Nichole (Scott) Price of Sioux Falls, SD; his significant other, Donna Lenning and her children, Eric Engels of Ashton, SD and Justin (Heidi) Engels of Watertown, SD; one sister, Phyllis Hegstrom of Silver Spring, Maryland; a sister-in-law, Helen Haan of Kranzburg; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Helen Haan; two brothers, Melvin and Jerry Haan; a sister, Alice, in infancy; his nephew, Rick Haan; and his sister-in-law, Inez Haan. - Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel
