Anne I. Fuchs, 92, went to be with our gracious Lord on Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at her home in Olfen, Texas. Born to Frank G. and Josephine Hiezman Hoelscher on Dec. 7, 1907, Anne was a lifelong resident of Runnels County. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen and an active member of the Catholic Daughters and Christian Mothers. She married Joseph John Fuchs on Oct. 26, 1926, in Olfen. He preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1959. She also was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth; her daughter, Rose Marie Kasberg; and grandchildren, Kevin Fuchs, John, Richard and Roseanne Kasberg. Anne is survived by her children, Annalene Hoelscher and husband, Dutch, David Fuchs and wife, Joan, and J.B. Fuchs and wife, Ethel; and daughter-in-law, Bernice Fuchs. Additional survivors include her grandchildren Maryetta Schmiedekamp, Glenda Powell, Donna Hawes, Douglas Fuchs, Roger Fuchs, Annell Werner, Janet Ward, Shawn Fuchs and Michelle Fuchs; great-grandchildren, Catherine Hood, Corey Schmiedekamp, Jody Schmiedekamp, D.J. Fuchs, Derrick Fuchs, Monya Matthiesen, Erica Fuchs, Zachary Fuchs and Tyler Fuchs; and her great-great-grandchildren, Sherry and Brodie Schmiedekamp and Chance Rieken. She also is survived by a brother, Harvey Hoelscher of San Antonio; and a sister, Alma Windmiller of Winnsboro. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at St. Boniface with burial following in St. Boniface Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rains-Seale Funeral Home. Anne's greatest joys were piecing and quilting quilts. She did beautiful crocheted pieces and gave them to her children and grandchildren. She worked in the Olfen school cafeteria for many years. She always grew a big garden and canned her vegetables and fruit. Anne loved all her grandchildren which she took care of many times. She will be dearly missed by her family and her close friends and relatives. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
