From the Monday December 7, 1931 edition of the Springfield (Ohio) Daily News: "LEWIS TEACH Death claimed Lewis Teach, 67, of Springfield Route 2, at 5 a. m., Sunday at the City Hospital. He had been there but a few hours when he died. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Katy Barnhart of New Carlisle. Funeral rites will be conducted at the Walnut Grove Church at North Hampton at 2 p.m. Tuesday, and burial will be made in Myers cemetery."
