Mrs. Willie Ruth Shaw Pope, age 97, of Cedartown, GA passed away on Monday afternoon, February 20, 2017. Mrs. Pope was born on May 27, 1919 in Cedartown, a daughter of the late George Luther Shaw and the late Daisy Lee Millican Shaw. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters and her husband, Mr. Cyrus Edward Pope on February 25, 2008. Mrs. Pope was a member of the Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church of Cedartown. Willie Ruth Pope is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bobby & Elizabeth Pope; her daughter, Elaine Pope Criswell; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Willie Ruth Pope will be conducted on Saturday morning, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the North View Cemetery. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Willie Ruth Shaw Pope
